Position Summary:\nJoin our vibrant local music school as an administrative assistant, where you'll be an essential part of inspiring young minds through the transformative power of music education. Be a part of a mission that goes beyond\n...\nmusic lessons — help teach life skills that empower our students to grow into their best selves.\nOur music school is dedicated to enriching lives through the transformative power of music, helping children develop not only musical skills but also critical life skills such as focus, discipline, and creativity.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n• Answer all incoming phone calls and create new profiles promptly, ensuring a seamless experience for new and existing students.\n• Create engaging social media content that showcases our vibrant community.\n• Maintain new and existing student databases, along with teacher staffing schedules.\n• Create and update online schedules for music lessons, ensuring students and teachers are well-coordinated.\n• Provide comprehensive information about school policies, lessons, and instructors to parents and students, helping them feel informed and confident.\n• Greet visitors, parents, and students with warmth and provide needed assistance, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our passion for music and education.\n• Foster positive relationships with employees, clients, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.\n• Schedule events and activities that build a sense of community and celebrate student achievements.\n• Prepare creative advertisements and eye-catching flyers to promote events and activities.\n• Provide support for classes and events, including planning and coordinating activities to ensure their success.\n• Maintain accurate student records, calendars, and documentation to support smooth school operations.\n• Take on additional administrative or office support duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the school.\nSkills:\n• Strong organizational skills.\n• Excellent verbal and written communication.\n• Great organizational and planning skills.\n• Strong focus on customer service.\n• Proven data entry and event/schedule coordination.\n• Proficient in Google Docs, Google Sheets.\n• Social media savvy (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google/YouTube).\nQualifications\n• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.\n• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.\n• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.\n• Experience in data entry and clerical tasks is preferred, but we value a willingness to learn and grow with our team.\n• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.\n• Familiarity with basic office management procedures.\n• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.\nOther Qualifications:\n• Energetic and fun personality that connects well with others.\n• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.\n• Positive work ethic with a passion for helping others.\n• Demonstrates a good sense of humor, warmth, and a caring attitude.\n• Ability to play a musical instrument is a plus.\n• Marketing experience is a plus.\n• Social media savvy (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google/YouTube).\nWhy You’ll Love Working Here:\n• Be part of an inspiring community where creativity thrives.\n• Impact the lives of young students through music.\n• Enjoy a flexible schedule that accommodates work-life balance.\nJob Type: Part-time.
